It *looks* quiet in the back yard, but the roofers are making a racket, the neighbors are bush hogging, and the utility company is laying out new lines within earshot. Yowsa.

While you are covering your ears I'll give you something to smile at Anna. The Melbourne Cup is Australia's famous horse race, alongside that there is a fashion race/competition. This year it was won by a young woman whose dress was sewn by her mother.

Sounds like a good day for the eyes, but maybe not the ears, LOL :)
but the color of the birdhouse next to the leaves is enchanting!
Our neighbors have painters (so that's 20 feet away) and they talk loudly and listen to the radio, and there is road construction on our block. sighhhh It's the city, I should be used to it.
What a cute birdhouse.
