Patchwork Curtains

Piecing some lavender curtains for my bedroom windows. Somehow I thought this would be a small job, but actually it's almost as many squares as a twin-size quilt.

However, there will be no quilting. Just adding a lining, and a little hand-sewn topstitching around the edge. Then pictures.

Those are beautiful! Oh Anna I so want to do patchwork but I am nowhere near ready for quilting. But maybe I could make curtains? I need some in the kitchen.

Lovely. Look forward to the pictures.

I've been making curtains this late winter - rectifying my earlier mistakes when I thought curtains didn't take much fabric. ha. They take A LOT. Actually, I just posted on laundry room curtains that I made with 1970s PRINTED patchwork - a lot faster than the real thing :)

I have always planned to do this for myself. This may be the inspiration I needed to finally get to it!

Can't wait to see your patchwork curtains. I've been dreaming of flying geese curtains for years but have never attempted it.
