Warm Light in the Cold Valley

So rare to see snow that's lasted three days, even in the shady crooks of the trees in the backyard.

It's so pretty to look at - as long as you don't have to drive in it. It's treacherous here in NY.

I think I need to take a vacation to where you live! Around here it's rare to have three days without snow! But it is beautiful and good for the perennials.

We are so enjoying being "snowed in". It is such a nice break from the hectic schedules of everyday life.

An apt metaphor for the glimmers of hope we're finally seeing here in Tucson. For some months I've been reading your blog for all the beauty and peace it provides, and coming back to it in these tough days has been wonderful. I hope you can keep us in your prayers.

Our trees looked the same the other day. I love the snow, but not the ice storm that came with it.
